Engineered Garments X Barbour International FW21 Release
For the first time Barbour International has collaborated with New York based contemporary fashion label, Engineered Garments. Working with Japanese designer Daiki Suzuki, the focus color of this capsule collection is black.
Barbour’s history with motorcycling gear stretches back more than 100 years to 1908, where the brand’s inaugural catalogue includes an oilskin applicable for motorcycle riding. In the decades following, the brand’s iconic designs like the A1 one-piece bike suit and A7 Waxed Jackets became the favorite outwear of motorcycle racers, including Steve McQueen.
The company’s rich heritage is reimagined here, combining authenticity with Daiki Suzuki’s signature flair. Outerwear fuses the iconic Barbour International jacket with Japanese aesthetics from short to longer wax jackets all with the signature Barbour International diagonal chest pocket. A black wax gilet and wax trousers create interest while three tees with printed graphics complement the outerwear in a collection that cleverly combines the signature style of both brands.
